That is how it all started. The Lawman with the GUN!!

I have known many incarnations of the Mighty Tharg over the years. And many Art Editors who have gone on to become famous artists themselves, like Kevin Oneil.

Some Thargs have been better than others, but it is not my place to comment here. I just know that I gave all of them a hard time, while they had the responsibility for managing one of the most, if not The most, exciting comics of our time. All begun by John Wagner and Pat Mills, dreaming and scheming in the lofty perch of Kings Reach Tower. Maybe it is all about location..? Because gazing out across the skyline of London, from those office windows, allows you to dream!

2000AD has excited artists and readers alike for over thirty years now and has allowed all manner of strange and wonderful creations to happen, that may otherwise have never seen publication.

I have to offer my share of thanks for being allowed to bring you characters like Halo Jones, Robohunter and Samantha with Hoagy and Stogie in tow, plus being permitted to put my own slant on the Chin in a Helmet known as Judge Dredd!!
